Role Overview
We are looking for a Graphic Designer who has a knack for visual design and creativity to assemble delightful and impactful user experiences. This will include the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. The person will be the one to shape the visual aspects of online and offline mediums.
The designs/graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, the person needs to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
Areas of responsibility:
- Weave together principles for composition, color, typography, iconography, texture, photographic curation, and usability to help users successfully navigate dynamic multimedia experiences
- Apply best practices for human-centric design to common visual and usability challenges
- Contribute to the creation of new design systems with creative direction Provide multimedia production support by documenting and communicating specifications of digital/physical components
- Effectively communicate with and delegate to vendors around project specifications Study design briefs and determine requirements, schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements, and prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Test graphics across various media, amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Key skills
Technical Skills
Need to have:
- Adobe Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- Knowledge of basic theories of design including colour, typography and space
Good to have:
Animation skills (2D or 3D)
- Experience in design and innovation teams (agency or in-house)
- A diverse portfolio which demonstrates outstanding craft across channels
- Expert knowledge of a broad range of tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe suite)
- Leans more towards crafting the aesthetics of an experience
- Able to combine world-class craft with strategic thinking and have an interest in learning about the business impact of design.
- You are excited by the potential to combine practices of behavioural science with design.
- Knowledge of best-practices in design and customer experience alongside industry trends
- Introductory knowledge of interaction design and motion design
- Thorough communication and presentation skills
