Responsibilities:
Technical
· Function as point for daily workflows in High Content Imaging and HCI Devices (Large microscopes that take snapshots of cells in microplates)
· Provide system maintenance for HCI devices and associated technologies (AWS).
· Hands-on with Python and/or R for scripting or debugging.
· Delegate and escalate issues and tasks
· Restart servers as needed with proper training
· Track issues using Jira and/or other systems
· Dig into current issues and gain a deeper understanding with tools such as plate registration tools that marry the compounds in source plates and asset plates in systems
· Understand current tools
· Recognize frequent issues and formulate more efficient solutions!
· Understanding of Columbus and Image Artist (Perkin Elmer) and architecture associated
· Experience connecting API's into an HCI system
Workflow analysis
· Review and interpret HCI workflows.
· Embed and maintain relationships with stakeholders and business partners
· Identify workflow gaps between geographically dispersed teams and where efficiencies can be gained
· Analyze "ways of working” and identify alternatives based on knowledge of current tools
· Gather requirements for potential tool enhancements.
· Gain a high-level overview of workflows – nuances/delta/differences between sites
Requirements:
· Must have broad experience with AWS from a systems supporting and troubleshooting perspective.
· Must have hands-on experience with coding languages (i.e. Python, C++, C#, Snowflake, SQL).
· Understanding of system architecture and be able to provide maintenance support.
· Possess a technical understanding of servers
· Possesses a understanding of scientific process and scientific notions in workflows
· Experience with a story or ticket tracking system such as Jira
· Strong soft skills, ability to work with stakeholders, identify gaps and jump in where
