Responsibilities and Duties for Hardware/Software Buyer
· Understanding the end user's requirements from a technical and commercial perspective.
· Negotiate and extract the best price from OEMs/authorized distributors.
· Better understanding of cost analysis and price benchmarking
· Better negotiation skills and ability to complete deals within the stipulated time.
· A better understanding of local taxes on supplies/services, custom duties, freight charges, and shipping modes.
· Coordinate with legal and commercial teams and execute Techno commercial agreements for software and hardware wherever required, to the satisfaction of Management.
· Coordinate with Finance team to ensure timely payment to vendors.
· Present commercial for approvals from the Commercial and Procurement head on time and release the order to the vendor.
· Follow up and deliver materials within the required Order time schedules at the designated locations.
· Co-ordinate with the Inspection team and ensure user acceptance of material at the warehouse.
· Vendor development and introduction of new cost-effective alternate vendors.
· Prepare reports of the progress of work and its submission to the reporting manager as and when required.
Qualifications & skills
· BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics &Telecommunication /IT from a reputed Institute in India or abroad with a good academic record.
· Sound technical knowledge in related area.
· 5-10 years minimum relevant experience for the above job description in worthy Organizations with a proven career record.
· Good Communication and negotiation skills in at least two languages: English and Hindi.
· Excellent team player with good adaptive skills and a passion for accepting and adapting to Reliance's pressured buying environment.
· Sound knowledge of SAP and tax laws prevailing in the country.
· Willing to accept new challenges and execute them to the satisfaction of the Management team.
· Awards are given as recognition for outstanding services in the field, if any.
· Certification from Competent authorities as proof of the candidate’s competence in the field, if any.
· Should be of sound Physical and mental health.
