Description

Specific expertise in solving complex IBM MQ message application solutions in a med-large enterprise. Analyzes, designs, develops and supports all major MQ messaging infrastructure from an enterprise perspective. Requires significant expertise in applicable and various development technologies. This role also includes working as part of a team to install and manage developer applications, diagnose and repair problems, and successfully integrate complex solutions .Responsible for maintaining and supporting MQ messaging solutions Gathers and analyzes requirements Programs and configures all or selected components of QMGRs/Clusters/Channels Documents components and applications. Researches, evaluates and recommends new tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities Demonstrates rapid ability to seek, evaluate, and come up to speed on new technologies and processes Independently writes and reviews design specifications, code, and unit tests .Troubleshoots and resolves medium to high complexity application defects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

6+ years of IBM MQ/IIB support and implementation experience in a medium to large MQ environment (1,000s of queues, MQ Clusters, Dozens+ of qmgrs)

6+ years of IBM MQ clustering, HA experience

RDQM Experience, which includes troubleshooting, configuration/installation.

Experience working on large, complex projects that require attention to detail and analysis

Red Hat Linux and AIX administration experience

Working Knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting/Python/standard scripting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance tuning

Experience with MQ SSL, performance tuning, general MQ/RDQM design principals, testing and maintaining business continuity strategies relating to the IBM/RDQM
