The Opportunity
The Infrastructure Engineering department is responsible for designing and engineering all technology needs within the company as well as serving as the highest escalation point for our Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams. Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for the overall performance and security of the IT managed systems to include infrastructure, networking, virtualization, servers, storage, and more. This position is accountable for researching, evaluating, testing, and designing technology solutions to address current and future needs of the company with a focus on security, scalability, and automation.
Responsibilities
Managing and improving design of multi-site system architectures
Lead problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
Design and implement solutions with a focus on network architecture.
Responsible for identifying and forecasting the future network/infrastructure needs of the organization.
Partner with cross-organizational team members to lead the implementation and design of infrastructure to support the company’s various products.
Facilitate the review of security scans and collaborate with information security teams to mitigate and remediate vulnerabilities
Create and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation
Must be able to travel to other company locations on occasion if necessary.
Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches and other components.
Provide scheduled after-hours coverage as required by being on call and available to respond.
Qualifications
10+ years’ network engineering experience
Experience with owning and implementing projects/solutions from conception to completion.
Experience with designing and implementing network controls and best practices for an organization adhering to strict data security standards or compliance standards such as PCI, SOC, etc.
Must have networking experience with VMWare and Hyper-V
Must have experience configuring and implementing Cisco ASAs, including BGP, IPSEC Tunnels, and Client Access VPNs.
Must have experience with managing and configuring Juniper Switches, both layer 2 and layer 3.
Must have experience with Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls distributed across multiple sites via TINA tunnels.
Must possess working knowledge of switching, dynamic routing protocols, and network segmentation
Must have experience designing, implementing, and managing a multi-site on premise network architecture.
Must be able to complete projects with minimal supervision
Good administrative and organizational skills including strong documentation skills and adhering to policy.
