Role Description:
As an Infrastructure Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of program delivery, from defining project scopes and objectives to ensuring timely and efficient completion within budget and quality parameters. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and manage resources will be crucial to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive program plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct initial risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Build and lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, designers, and other relevant professionals.
- Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and ensure team members have the necessary resources and support.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution of projects within the program, ensuring adherence to established timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address issues to keep the program on track.
- Regularly communicate updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify and assess potential risks and issues associated with the program's goals and objectives.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes to resolve issues promptly.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage program budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to secure necessary funding and resources.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, including project plans, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting program status, milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
Change Management and Communication:
- Develop and execute change management plans to effectively transition stakeholders through program changes.
- Communicate program goals, updates, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the program management framework.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future program outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience as a Program Manager, particularly in managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
