SOFTWARE MIGRATION PROJECT MANAGER:
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to lead two critical software migration projects: the migration of our Laserfiche system from on-premises to their Customer Cloud, and the upgrade of our SchoolMint system from a legacy version to the latest version. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing complex software migration projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that both projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also meeting the quality standards set by our organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead activities around requirements gathering, system analysis, planning, execution, and validation of the software migration process. Ensure the integrity and security of data during and after the migration. This position will work closely with clients and end-users to assess current systems, define migration strategies, and develop comprehensive project plans. Must be a team player that integrates well with the Client culture, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the migration of the Laserfiche system from on-premises to the Customer Cloud, including planning, execution, and monitoring all project phases.
- Oversee the upgrade of the SchoolMint system from a legacy version to the current version, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to gather requirements, develop project plans, and define project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk management plans, and status reports.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate project status updates to all stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process for both projects.
- Manage project resources, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide post-migration support and address any issues that arise after the transition.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations during the migration processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- PMI/PMP certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software migration projects.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale software migrations, including cloud migrations and system upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Laserfiche and/or SchoolMint is a plus.
