Job Summary
As an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer will be a vital part of our IT team, dedicated to ensuring that our IT systems effectively support the organization's current and future business needs. In this role, you'll provide essential technology support to our employees, manage hardware and software resources, and contribute to the overall development and maintenance of our IT systems.
What You’ll Do
- Technology Support
- Provide day-to-day technology support for office and remote employees, including break/fix efforts.
- Assist in onboarding new employees, configuring hardware, software, and addressing IT needs.
- Hardware and Software Lifecycle Management
- Execute the lifecycle of employee hardware and software, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Manage the acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
- Network and Infrastructure
- Administer services and maintenance of network and server hardware.
- Collaborate with Facilities to ensure appropriate operation of network and conferencing resources.
- Security and Privacy
- Maintain information system security and privacy through patch management and system configuration.
- Contribute to the evolution of our Information Security Management System.
- Documentation and Training
- Create and manage documentation for IT systems and processes.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on technology and processes.
- Efficiency and Automation
- Enhance system and process efficiency and automation, driving operational improvements.
- Problem Solving
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Industry Knowledge
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for system enhancements.
What You’ll Need
- Experience
- 1-4 years of help desk experience or equivalent knowledge.
- Skills/Knowledge
- Strong bias towards actions and delivering results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and desire to learn from senior IT staff.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and hardware components.
- Familiarity with information security concepts and industry standards.
- Proficiency in administering online productivity suites.
- Excellent organizational skills, with late-stage startup experience preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with systems such as Google Workspaces, JAMF, Kaseya, Meraki, Microsoft 365/Defender/Intune, Okta, and Zscaler is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
