Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Jira Administrator with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic IT team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, customization, and optimization of our Jira environment to support our agile development processes and project management needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Jira Administration:
- Administer and maintain Jira instances, including user management, workflows, custom fields, permissions, and plugins/add-ons.
- Configure and customize Jira to meet the specific needs of different teams and projects.
- Integration and Automation:
- Integrate Jira with other tools in the development and project management ecosystem.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
- User Support and Training:
- Provide support to Jira users, including issue resolution, user access management, and training.
- Conduct training sessions for teams and individuals on Jira best practices and new features.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor Jira performance and optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira performance and functionality.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices for Jira.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their Jira requirements and implement solutions.
- Work closely with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Jira Administrator.
- Skills:
- Expertise in Jira administration and configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, and permission schemes.
- Experience with Jira plugins and add-ons.
- Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Groovy, Python).
- Familiarity with Jira REST API.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator in an enterprise environment.
