Manages all aspects of a single project or multiple, small to medium-sized projects at once and is accountable for outcomes.
Leads assigned project team ensuring successful delivery of working software products through an incremental approach.
Develops and manages the project scope, schedule, and budget to meet desired outcome.
Supports the team in achieving daily scrums, iteration and release goals, and delivery objectives.
Ushers the flow of work and information efficiently through the project sponsor and stakeholders.
Monitors assigned projects to evaluate progress, reviews project quality, creates relevant reports, and explores options to improve efficiency to support project deliverables and to meet customer expectations.
Identifies project risks and prepares mitigation measures to enhance full utilization of project resources.
Reports project status and any setbacks that impact the timeline and budget to all stakeholders.
Assists higher level project managers with various tasks on complex projects such as the project schedules, project status reports and presenting to appropriate parties, and facilitating meetings (e.g., kickoff, sprint planning, sprint reviews).
Works with application vendors and stakeholders to exchange information about needs for assigned projects.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a field related to information systems, computer science, business management, or a related field.
Three (3) years of progressive work experience in information technology and technical project management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Knowledge of various project management methodologies and project management best practices such as Agile and lean frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of business and information technology practices and trends by comparable school systems or businesses.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to technology in a K-12 environment.
Understanding of technology-related issues and how they might impact assigned project outcomes.
Skill in problem-solving and conflict resolution with the ability to make recommendations and mitigate timeline risks.
Ability to quickly adapt to changes and work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
