Job Description:

As a Kubernetes Administrator with IBM OpenShift expertise, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing containerized applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of containerized applications using Kubernetes and IBM OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and IBM OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide guidance on best practices for containerization.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containerized applications, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security policies for containerized environments.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in containerization, Kubernetes, and IBM OpenShift.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator with a focus on IBM OpenShift.
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with IBM OpenShift, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably IBM Cloud.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IBM Certified System Administrator - Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for containerized environments.
