Job Description:
As a Kubernetes Administrator with IBM OpenShift expertise, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing containerized applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of containerized applications using Kubernetes and IBM OpenShift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and IBM OpenShift.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide guidance on best practices for containerization.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containerized applications, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security policies for containerized environments.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in containerization, Kubernetes, and IBM OpenShift.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator with a focus on IBM OpenShift.
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Experience with IBM OpenShift, including installation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably IBM Cloud.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IBM Certified System Administrator - Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for containerized environments.
