Lead Java Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary
As a Lead Software Engineer, Backend, you will be part of a team responsible for all business functionality that power our partner ventures.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
● Design, develop and provide live support for businesses that empower our joint ventures.
● Work closely with our leads to ensure all features meet our standards for knowability, scalability, and overall operational maturity
● Propose and socialize technical standards and best practices
● Be the technical evangelist for the venture

To be successful in this role, you will need:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
● 9+ years experience working in Java development teams
● Extremely proficient in Java, Spring Boot, RDBMS (Postgres SQL equivalent) technologies
● Experience working with stakeholders to identify, document, analyze, implement, and test software requirements.
● Passionate about technology, engineering quality and automation
● Mid-High level expertise with "Infrastructure as Code" (e.g. ArgoCD, Terraform, CloudFormation etc) and Azure cloud hosting platform.
● Relational database is a must – PostgreSQL
● Ability to debug, some analysis (they have a platform team to assist)
● Need high level understanding of microservices and Kubernetes, but they have existing teams that handle the coding for these things
● Should posses lead experince for at least 3-5 years
