Qualifications:

6+ years of developing with service and cloud based architectures
Care deeply about building high quality software and take immense pride in your craft
Able to independently scope and complete work within given timelines
Comfortable owning the development of a product from 0 to 1
Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
Expert knowledge of Node, Typescript, JavaScript, AWS, Lambda, GraphQL
Passion for continuous learning and developing new skills
Desire to work in an Agile development environment (Kanban or Scrum)
Strong collaboration skills when facing ambiguous situations
Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical team members, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Previous experience in multiple (2+) early stage startups
Functional programming background
Experience with Serverless Architecture using CDK

What You’ll Be Doing

Design, build, maintain, and scale backend services, features, and APIs within a variety of areas such as: credit management, fraud detection, internal tools, banking connectivity/aggregation, and payment processing
Define our platform architecture from the technologies used to design principles applied
Drive the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
Work closely with the entire engineering, product, and design team learning what drives our customer and how we can improve their experience
Build product services supporting our mobile application and integrating with partner providers (E.g. Galileo, Socure, etc.)
Work on a small team and helping set the foundations for the company
Mentor and guide junior team members in a constructive manner.
