Job Summary
Lead Power BI Analyst's main duties are converting raw data into meaningful analysis with the help of interactive, easy-to-understand dashboards and reports and designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining business analytics dashboards using Power BI and other Microsoft BI technologies such as SQL.
Scope and Responsibilities
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights
Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI
Able to identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently
Analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making
Able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis
Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations
Perform SQL querying for best results
Create filters and graphs for a better understanding of the data
Supports the enhancement, deployment, and training of the Power BI solutions based on operational requirements
Make sure that reports are populated or refreshed on time with accurate, trusted data
Responds to and investigate problems and incidents in applications and services and assist with the deployment of remedies and preventative measures
Provide direction and mentorship to Power BI analysts, as necessary
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from a reputed college
Proficiency in SQL medium to advanced level
5 or more years of experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or similar programs and overall experience of 8 years, of which should have been leading teams in the last preceding 3 years.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize requests in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers and across the organization, vendors, customers
Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress toward goals, and track details, data, information, and activities
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
