Job Description:

Linux Administrator

  • Experience in Linux system administrator with application maintenance skill.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and command-line utilities.
  • Experience with deployment and management of Linux-based applications and services (e.g., web servers, databases, mail servers, Jira and conflence application knowledge).
  • Experience in package management e.g YUM, APT, DPKG
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Basic knowledge on AWS cloud EC2 instances
  • To create, execute and manage Ansible playbooks to automate patching and other configuration management
  • Configure check_mk plugins and add client machines under monitoring

 

Expertise knowledge on below tools

  • Snipe-IT – Open source asset management tool
  • IPAM – Open source IP Address Management tool
  • Mail Server Administrator administers and maintains the organization's email system(s).
  • Postfix , SpamAssassin , ClamAV and Dovecot ... The Roundcube plugin uses the ManageSieve client/ server method to create and activate the Sieve
  • Install/Manage Amavisd-new, ClamAV and SpamAssassin with Postfix to enable basic spam and virus protection on Debian server.
  • Piler - Open source mail archive tool
  • Check_mk – Open source IT monitoring tool
