Job Description
- Plan and coordinate the migration of Linux servers (RHEL 8/9 versions) from source data center to destination data center, ensuring they meet all infrastructure and network requirements, data synchronization and DNS settings.
- Manage and maintain the Apache HTTP Server and deploy Wed Applications to Apache servers and ensure proper permissions and security settings are applied to the deployed files
- Automate Linux based server migrations into cloud and move code bundles along with migrations, using Jenkins a popular CI/CD tool.
- Perform Logical Volume Management (LVM) by managing the logical volumes and storage devices efficiently to optimize disk space utilization and provide flexible storage management.
- Schedule and perform Server patches to update security policies and database vulnerabilities using scripts.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash or Shell scripting languages to reduce manual workload and improve processes efficiency.
- Maintain the network devices (Switches, routers, firewalls) and configure IP access filter policies including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, http, https, TCP/IP.
- Deploy and debug code bundles into multiple environments using Splunk and troubleshoot Splunk logs for any deployment failures.
- Configure Nagios 4.4 and Tivoli v6.3.0 monitoring tools to provision servers continuously and monitor systems health and performance.
- Use ITSM tool for incident and problem management to record and troubleshoot all customer or user tickets related to the deployed web applications and customer issues.
Minimum Education Requirement:- Bachelor’s bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects
