Key Responsibilities:
Data Center Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of data center facilities.
- Manage physical and virtual server environments, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor and analyze data center capacity and performance.
- Plan and implement capacity upgrades and optimizations.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits and compliance measures.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure readiness.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, oversee service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure vendor performance.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the data center budget.
- Monitor expenses and optimize costs without compromising performance and security.
Project Management:
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, manage timelines, and ensure project deliverables.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT infrastructure professionals.
- Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and manage performance.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations and processes.
- Generate regular reports on data center performance and capacity.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant experience (preferred BE).
- Proficiency in Linux, Rack Management, OpenStack, VMware, Windows, RHEL Satellite, and PAM.
- Experience with SAN switches, storage, and backup systems.
- Familiarity with switch, firewall, and F5 connectivity.
- Strong skills in cable management and hygiene.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to coordinate and work with power teams for data center-related tasks (UPS, power management, etc.).
- Deliver end-to-end implementation for new and refreshed IT systems.
- Implement and govern security/data center controls, health checks, and hygiene
