Work you'll do:
As the DevOps Cloud Engineer Lead you will be responsible for advising and assisting in the architecture, design and implementation of secure infrastructure solutions. You will own the day-to-day health, uptime, monitoring, and reliability of services and server infrastructure. Your contributions in architecture and design reviews will provide recommended improvements to the development teams to improve the reliability and performance of applications. You will also lead the India based team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day to day responsibilities of the India based DevOps team
Ensure user visible uptime and quality, providing operational and development expertise in making our systems fail rarely, and fast to fix when they do fail
Minimize manual involvement by imagining & implementing continuous improvements that create an operating environment, including the development of new tools, dynamically monitoring, alerting, & automated self-healing & recovery
Identify and/or analyze problems relating to mission critical services and implement automation to prevent problem recurrence, with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
Engage in application performance analysis and system tuning, and capacity planning
Perform root cause analysis to identify & implement continuous improvements
Present analyses and recommendations to leadership, and discuss technical merits of solutions with engineers and architects.
Practice Agile and Scrum methodologies
Required Skills
Overall 9+ yrs of experience, with 5+ years’ experience in AWS cloud services
Experience with technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications in operating, and supporting high-performance, highly available services and infrastructure.
Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, with hands-on experience on the following domains:
Container technologies, including EKS, Kubernetes and Docker and Kafka
Experience in building, deploying and monitoring AWS services with strong IaaS and PaaS services (Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Hub, Cloud Service etc.)
AWS Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking
Data Platform: SQL, AWS Relational Databases AWS RDS, AWS Aurora
Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, AWS Cognito, etc.
Experience with AWS Storage and Backup
Experience in managing Windows and Linux systems in AWS Public Cloud
Hands-on experience in Cloud Foundation Stacks
Knowledge of networking and software defined networking in cloud environments
Ability to write PowerShell scripts to automate IT Operations
Azure Devops Portal Pipelines/Releases and CI/CD Best Practices
Experience developing integration tests, and gate criteria that align with business requirements & project plan using AWS standards
Strong experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and responding relative to performance and availability of application
Education: BS or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
Preferred Skills:
Use of Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK and Terraform
Working Knowledge and configuration of dashboards
