Develop, implement, and optimize assembly processes for modular home production, ensuring adherence to quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of assembly processes
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new assembly processes or equipment, presenting recommendations for implementation
Train and support production teams in the proper execution of assembly processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Troubleshoot assembly line issues, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical problems promptly
Continuously analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Create and maintain documentation including assembly procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies, tools, and equipment to improve assembly efficiency and quality
Design and review assembly line layouts, considering workflow, space utilization, and ergonomics to maximize efficiency
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
Proven expertise in both automated and manual assembly processes, with a background in automotive assembly techniques considered highly advantageous
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and process optimization (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on assembly processes, preferably in modular home construction or a related industry.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with robotics, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and automated assembly systems
Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) software
