Job Summary:
Skills and Tools 1. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Knowledge of SQL for database querying. Knowledge & experience in Nielsen, Mintel databases 2. Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets. 3. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the CPG industry and its unique challenges. Understanding of consumer behaviour and market dynamics. 4. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to convey complex findings in an understandable manner. Problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
JD / Responsibilities
1. Data Collection and Management: Gather data from various sources including sales data, market research, customer feedback, and social media. Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
2. Data Analysis: Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Use statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to predict consumer behaviour and sales performance.
3. Reporting and Visualization: Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Prepare reports and presentations to summarize insights and recommend actions.
4. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to implement data-driven strategies. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data infrastructure supports analytics needs.
5. Optimization and Forecasting: Optimize pricing, promotions, and product assortments based on data insights. Forecast demand and manage inventory to minimize costs and maximize availability.
