Job Description:
- Design and Analysis Engineer will be responsible for analysis, design, development and testing of static structural components that meet requirements for life, cost, weight, maintainability, and durability.
Required Skills and experience includes:
- Experience performing stress, strength, vibration, shock, useful life, and fatigue analysis
- Experience using Altair simulation products preferred, but equivalent software experience is acceptable
- Experience performing topological optimization studies
- Experience supporting all types of testing through the product design and qualification process including random vibration, shock, and mechanical failure
- Create analysis reports and lead design reviews
- Ability to work with design teams, manufacturing, suppliers, customers and chief engineers
- Familiarity with CAD design software such as Solidworks, Creo, etc
- Experience designing parts for various manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, welding, brazing, sheetmetal forming, and understands design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM, DFA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of pyro shock environments a plus.
