Job Description:

Medicaid Staff Duties:

 

  • Assist HFS Executive Staff with Medicaid policy and implementation guidance and act as a point of reference and communication between the Division of Medical Programs (DMP), the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), and the Medicaid Enterprise Vendors to ensure policy concerns are addressed correctly, attend project status meetings and report on the status and participate in meetings at the project level with topics including but not limited to functional workflow, business process, information flow, project status, assist with advising on process improvements and provide mentoring to HFS staff in their subject expertise of the following: Administration, Provider Management, Member Management, Claims Processing, Pharmacy Program, Drug Rebate Program, Collections / Recovery, Financial Management, Waiver Program Management, Federal Reporting, Program Integrity, Long Term Care, Managed Care, Provider Enrollment, Dental Program, assist with communicating effectively in written, verbal and pictorial form (such as data flow diagrams, etc.) and provide reports on comprehension of both technical and business requirements gathering processes.

Participate in requirements analysis and quality assurance testing, provide status updates and other assistance as needed to the project leader and other duties as assigned that require expertise which may include the following: Provider enrollment, Member Management, Claims Processing, Financial Management, Pharmacy Program, assist with providing subject matter expertise on matters related to Medicaid policies and regulations, assist with identifying and documenting state program vulnerabilities found in the course of duties.

 

Medicaid Staff Skill requirement

 

  • 3 years’ experience with Medicaid program administration, with Medicaid, Pharmacy or Health Insurance Systems, with producing professional business documentation, working on Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer Projects, managing or leading multi-vendor projects or teams, working with senior management or key project stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent workplace experience equivalent to four (4) years of college. Experience with the principles and practices of public and business administration. Experience with the functions of state government and the character of relationships between the executive branch with the other branches, and between the State and higher and lower levels of government. Experience producing professional business documentation. Experience using Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
