Position Overview: You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's Microsoft 365 environment, Active Directory infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Red Hat Operating System builds, and Azure tenant. You will work closely with VRS internal teams and clients to ensure smooth operation of the infrastructure, implement best practices, and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other components.
- Manage and administer Active Directory, including user and group management, security policies, and access controls.
- Configure and maintain DNS and DHCP services to ensure efficient and reliable network connectivity.
- Perform Windows and Red Hat Operating System builds, deployments, upgrades, and patch management across various environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect the infrastructure from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to optimize infrastructure performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft technologies and IT infrastructure practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Red Hat Operating System builds, and Azure tenant.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft 365 components, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Strong proficiency in Active Directory administration, including user and group management, security policies, and access controls.
- Solid understanding of DNS and DHCP concepts and hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting these services.
- Expertise in Windows and Red Hat Operating System builds, deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
- Experience with Azure tenant administration and familiarity with Azure services and offerings.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components and best practices, including networking, storage, and virtualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, MCSE: Core Infrastructure, and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), are highly desirable.
