MMIS Systems Manager
Remote
Long-term Contract
Position can be remote but would require occasional travel to western US. Want someone with heavy COBOL experience.
Responsibilities
· Establish, maintain and review policy and procedures for the systems area
· Reviews current status of system applications and prepares recommendations for improvements.
· Responsible for all system SLAs
· Control system stability
· Maximize revenue and margin for IT related billable and expenses.
· All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience in managing a Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) in a COBOL Environment
· Demonstrated comprehensive experience managing the planning, developing, testing, and implementing of software application changes
· Demonstrated comprehensive experience using software development lifecycle methodologies
· Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage large scale concurrent
projects and effectively respond to unanticipated customer business priorities
· Demonstrated ability to manage staff in a complex IT environment
· Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
· A degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, management, support personnel, client and interfacing agencies/companies.
· Communication skills to work effectively with staff, management, support personnel, client and interfacing agencies/companies.
