MySQL DBA & AWS

Skill requirements:

• Solid understanding of database design principals
• Minimum 5 year experience with MySQL DBA
• Good understanding of query execution plans
• Good SQL scripts skill including SPs, PSQL scripting
• Good performance tuning skills
• Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/restore
• Experience in replication, is a plus
• Hands-on experience on database administration, backup recovery and troubleshooting in co-location environments
• Expertise in Oracle Backup & Recovery.  
• Experience in Database Cloning or Refresh.
• Analyze requirements from developers and architects for data loads/migrations, and build PL/SQL procedures to satisfy requests
• Mentor team members on DBA tasks and new technologies
• Manage the database portion of application releases.
• Process knowledge on Incident Management & Change management
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
• Problem-solving skills
