Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Network Engineer with 3-5 Yrs. experience and expertise in the configuration and management of Cisco firewall, router, and switch technologies.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure, specifically focused on Cisco devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network security, optimize performance, and support the company's technological needs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, configure, and implement Cisco firewall, router, and switch solutions to support the company's network infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to develop network infrastructure plans that align with business objectives and ensure scalability and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues related to Cisco devices, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage access control lists (ACLs) and firewall security policies to protect the network from unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Perform routine maintenance, software upgrades, and patch management to keep Cisco devices up-to-date and running smoothly.
- Ensure network documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including network diagrams, device configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network-related projects, including hardware or software upgrades, network migrations, and expansion.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve network issues and implement new technologies as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, security threats, and best practices in network engineering, particularly related to Cisco devices.
- Hands on experience in Microsoft Windows OS
- IT Infrastructure and Network support experience
- Should be able to create User Accounts and Microsoft Exchange configuration
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Network Engineer, specifically focused on Cisco firewall, router, and switch.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, ASA, Catalyst, and other networking protocols.
- In-depth understanding of network security principles, including VLANs, VPNs, ACLs, and firewall policies.
- Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, etc.) and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve network-related problems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
