Title: Network Engineer

Location: Ashburn, VA (Day 1 Onsite)

Duration: 6 Month contract

Job description:

Expert/Chief level skills network engineer -

Layer 3 routing (BGP, OSPF, etc), Layer 2 (spanning tree, VPCs, etc)

Firewalls (ASA, Palo Alto)

Expert level experience in Network design and implementations.

Hardware migrations tasks:

Technical assistance in creating MOPs to finish hardware migration from legacy catalyst devices into new Nexus 9K spine leaf hardware that includes moving Layer 3 SVIs and migrating BGP routing configs from current L3 Catalyst switches into the Nexus 9Ks.

Assisting in executing the migration at approved time of change.

Assistance in configuring MDS 9000 SAN switches.

ROC/HQ critical path:

Technical assistance in creating MOPs to help deploy new firewalls, networks, and routing to support new layer 2 VLAN/network that will support new jump server environment.

Assistance with implementing configurations and changes of the new networks, routing, and configurations to support the needed network changes to provide connectivity to new jump server environment.

Assist in deploying dedicated Cisco ISE appliances.

This work will need to be completed for each of our two data centers.
