Job Summary:
As a Network Engineer at [Algonomy], you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
You will work closely with other IT professionals to troubleshoot network issues, manage network security, and support various IT projects
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation
Design and deploy scalable and reliable network solutions that meet the company's needs
Implement and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Perform regular network maintenance tasks, including firmware updates and configuration changes
Implement and manage network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans
Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network upgrades and support
Lead and participate in network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and migrations
Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role
Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Familiarity with network management tools and security practices
Knowledge of cloud networking and virtualization technologies is a plus
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or similar are highly desirable
