The purpose of this RFQ is to engage a managed service provider (MSP) to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the Department’s network infrastructure.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Leverage technology to monitor and manage the Department’s network continuously to identify and address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or security threats.
Perform ongoing maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, installing patches, updates, and security fixes to keep the network up-to-date and secure.
Assist with configuration changes to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, and the development of securitypolicies and procedures.
Assist with the configuration and optimization of routers, switches, and access points to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for migration from On-premise to Cloud Network.
Analyze and manage network performance and provide the Department with weekly reports, per section 4.3, Weekly Reports, of this SOW.
Work with the Department to develop disaster recovery plans to ensure network resilience in the face of disasters or disruptions.
Provide around-the-clock support.
Provide consultation relating to technology trends, network architecture, and strategic planning.
Qualifications and Experience The Contractor must:
Fulfill the qualifications and experience required for the relevant job number and experience level on the State Term Contract.
Be able to pass a State of Florida criminal background screening in accordance with section 18.0, Background Screening and Security Requirements, of this RFQ.
Possess excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals including, but not limited to, the following: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Possess excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to write complex reports, plans, and briefings.
Possess strong organizational skills.
Understand Department requirements under Chapter 2NA, Florida Statutes.
Understand how to maintain the confidentiality of records in accordance with Have a deep understanding of networking technologies, including LAN, WAN,
routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Possess a proven track record of successfully managing networks for clients in diverse industries.
Be well-versed in implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS),
and virtual private networks (VPNs)
Have experience working in Azure or similar cloud platforms, including developing and implementing security plans and migration strategies.
Have experience provisioning resources in the Cloud (Virtual machines, databases, networking components, storage).
Have experience configuring virtual networks (setting up subnets, security groups, network traffic routing).
Have experience configuring access controls in Azure Active Directory or equivalent.
Be adept at utilizing network monitoring tools and analyzing network performance metrics to identify and address issues proactively.
Be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals, understand client requirements, and provide timely updates and reports.
Possess industry certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, and Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), among others.

Work Hours*
Work hours shall be from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Alternate work schedules for the Contractor’s personnel are subject to prior written approval by the Department’s Contract Manager.
The Contract Manager reserves the right to increase/decrease hours as deemed necessary. Hours may be adjusted based on the status or urgency of the project or budget limitations. Should hours need to be adjusted, prior written notification shall be provided to the Contractor’s employee
