Required Skills/Experience

 

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, development, modification, improvement, and implementation of Oracle relational database management systems that includes access methods, definition languages, and remote access software in an installation utilising third-generation systems that support batch, remote access, database, and real time applications.
  • Candidate must possess 8 years of experience with Oracle databases on both physical and logical servers, data security, development of plans for the conversion of existing physical servers to virtual servers, database recovery and backup techniques, and optimised processing techniques also is required.
  • Experience in implementation of full version oracle database upgrade (i.e., 12c to 19c) a minimum of 2 times within the last 8 years.

     

Desired Skills/Experience

 

  • Extensive background in providing comprehensive support for Oracle 19c databases.
  • Proven experience in executing successful upgrades of Oracle databases to version 19c or higher. (12c to 19c upgrade experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in replicating and/or migrating Oracle databases to the Cloud (preference for on premise to VMwares Cloud Disaster Recovery (VCDR) environment.
  • Skilled in providing adept database and application connectivity in support for Testing of applications both on-premises and in the VCDR environment.
  • Experience in providing guidance and assistance during integrated run-for-record and other exercises.
  • Adept understanding of business and educational data processing applications.
  • Proficiency in various higher-level programming languages, including but not limited to MS SQL, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Cloud-based Infrastructure Clienthitecture, preference, or VMware on AWS also including AmClienton AWS, Microsoft Clienture, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Services
