Join our esteemed client in Washington, DC, for a hybrid onsite 3x per week, 12+ month contract as a Physical Security SME. In this role, you will support the CS Security Risk Management Program, ensuring compliance with Corporate Security policies, procedures, and standards. Your primary responsibilities will include meticulously assessing security design documentation related to infrastructure renovations, identifying security vulnerabilities, and evaluating associated risks. You will play a pivotal role in validating the inclusion of physical security standards within designs and ensuring full compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Review security designs for compliance with CS Facility Security Design Standard, with a specialized focus on security video surveillance systems and badging technology.
  • Examine engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents, particularly relating to security video surveillance systems and badging technology.
  • Perform security assessments and audits following Corporate Security Infrastructure Protection Strategy, with a keen eye on the effectiveness of video surveillance and badging systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections to evaluate and capture all security countermeasures in place, emphasizing the functionality and integration of video surveillance and badging technology.
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with security vulnerabilities in video surveillance and badging systems, collaborating on mitigation plans tailored to these technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to Corporate Security Policies and Standards, particularly in the implementation and maintenance of video surveillance and badging technology.
  • Complete assignments with minimal supervision, showcasing expertise in the intricacies of security video surveillance systems and badging technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience in corporate security roles.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, with a demonstrable focus on security video surveillance systems and badging technology.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification.
  • Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with construction terminology, blueprints, and processes.
  • Deep understanding of security principles, including threat assessment, risk management, and security standards, especially as they relate to video surveillance and badging technology.
  • Proficiency in physical security systems (access control, vehicle barriers, intrusion detection, lighting), with an emphasis on video surveillance and badging technology.
  • Previous experience in identifying security vulnerabilities and developing risk-reducing mitigations, particularly within video surveillance and badging systems
