Power BI Developer

Overview

The Power BI Developer plays a crucial role in the organization, responsible for leveraging Power BI to turn data into insightful and visually appealing reports and dashboards. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into effective data visualizations, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Create data models to support visualizations and ad-hoc analysis
Optimize and tune Power BI reports for performance
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless integration of data sources
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and dashboards
Train and mentor business users on Power BI best practices
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Power BI and data visualization
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall data architecture

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards
Strong skills in SQL for data querying and manipulation
Experience with ETL processes and tools
Proficiency in data modeling and DAX
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with BI reporting tools other than Power BI is a plus
Certifications in Power BI or related technologies is a plus
