The NC DST, SLGFD has a full-time MS Power Platform Developer opportunity available. This position plays a critical role in continuing application automation work and designing user-friendly applications tailored to meet specific business requirements.
This is an onsite position.
The NC State Treasurer, State and Local Government Finance Division (SLGFD) has a full-time Microsoft Power Platform Developer opportunity available based in Raleigh, NC. This position will play a critical role in continuing the advancement of process automation and empowering the division with user-friendly applications tailored to meet specific business requirements.
This position’s technical expertise in Power Platform development and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders will contribute to the successful implementation and utilization of solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity for over 1,100 NC local government units.
Essential Functions:
Providing vital and timely support using MS 365 Power Platform & Office to design, develop, test, modify, implement, secure, and maintain current and future SLGFD systems in test and production environments using product areas such as:
PowerApps/Dataverse (model-driven & canvas)
Power Pages (user experience, forms, list connectivity logic and process)
Power Automate (custom alerts, integrations, and workflows)
Third-party applications and database integrations (SQL, SharePoint, external partner data)
SharePoint (lists, metadata, Portal submissions, custom JSON, site permissions)
Teams (store files, communicate, and keep project artifacts accessible to division)
OneNote (capture, organize and share documentation with all relevant users)
Analyze, define, estimate, and document work levels of effort.
Respond to critical or changing priorities.
Participate in discovery sessions to understand and document the customer’s technical and business requirements necessary for successful completion of projects.
Experience to ensure user requests for information are documented, addressed, and follow up occurs.
Qualifications/Requirements
This position will work onsite daily in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Execution of all NC security agreements.
Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including comprehensive requirements gathering, high level and detailed systems design, agile development practices, QA testing outcomes and dependencies, and production monitoring and maintenance operations.
Familiarity with data integration, particularly between Power Apps and Power Automate with Dataverse and SharePoint.
Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues with existing tools built on MS 365 platforms.
Strong data analytical skills and attention to detail.
Must have the ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
Strong and documented experience engaging with business owners to identify and document requirements and to support deployed solutions.

Education/Experience
Fully proficient with Microsoft PowerApps, including three years with Model Driven Apps and Power Pages and two years with Canvas Apps
Minimum of five years of SharePoint administrator development/operational experience
Minimum of two years of Dataverse development experience
