PowerBI Developer

Randstad Client in DC is seeking a proficient PowerBI Developer who will collaborate closely with clients, business analysts, and team members to grasp business requirements driving the analysis and design of top-notch technical solutions. These solutions must align with business and IT strategies while adhering to organizational architectural standards. The role encompasses the full systems life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application software within designated timelines and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into impactful visualizations.
• Demonstrate understanding of business processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Possess extensive expertise in Power BI, encompassing complex data modeling, DAX scripting, and optimizing performance.
• Utilize Power Query for data transformation and manage data import and live connections effectively.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within Power BI solutions.
• Employ familiarity with Power BI Service features, encompassing sharing, collaboration, and administration.
• Manage end-to-end Power BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Design and develop new enterprise reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos, ensuring their functionality in both development and production environments.
• Work with multi-dimensional and relational reporting structures and create and maintain reports and SQL queries for data analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Power BI and business intelligence.
• Design, develop, implement, and support Business Intelligence solutions, including reporting, dashboarding, and templates for self-service BI.
• Install and configure BI tools and develop semantic layers for organizational BI tools.
• Create reports, dashboards, and templates, and assist in designing databases and data warehouses for interoperability with BI solutions.
• Provide end-user training and support and implement and administer security models.
• Participate in project planning processes and offer technical coaching and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
• Develop and implement Power BI solutions to meet the organization's reporting and analytical needs.

Deliverables:

• Explore data to discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies, and trends.
• Build the capability for OLAP cube analysis.
• Design and develop enterprise-wide "views" and highly complex reports, dashboards, and templates for self-service BI.
• Document the design of BI solutions and evaluate business intelligence tools or products where applicable.

Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in developing BI solutions, including reporting, dashboard, and templates, with expertise in Crystal reports, Web Intelligence reports, Xcelsius dashboards, Power BI Dashboards, Tableau dashboards, and Business Objects Universes.
• Solid understanding of database, data mart, and data warehouse architecture, designs, and modeling.
• Excellent working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL queries \
• Experience leading workshops with business to gather requirements and implementiOracle, SQL Server, ng security models and administering various BI tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to describe challenges and solutions in both technical and business terms.
• Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all organizational levels with internal and external stakeholders
