Overview:

This role leads pre-sales activities for the Cloud & Data Center portfolio in North America, driving winnable propositions and strategic solutions to achieve revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement:
  • Prepare & deliver client pitches and presentations.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs with compelling proposals.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams on new solutions.
  • Provide technical input and identify new opportunities for existing clients.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Partner with Sales to refine GTM strategy and offerings.
  • Assist sales teams in converting leads and opportunities into wins.

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge of Azure/GCP/AWS services, architecture, and implementation.
  • Experience architecting, designing, and implementing large-scale Cloud/Datacenter transformation solutions.
  • Expertise in complex deals involving Private/Hybrid Clouds, Compute, Infrastructure, VMware, Databases, Storage, Networking, Monitoring, and Automation.
  • Experience working on large deals.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Familiarity with network technologies (routing, DNS, load balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, HTTP).
  • Security knowledge (firewalls, encryption, key management, identity & access).
  • Deep expertise and hands-on experience with IaaS/PaaS/Serverless services on a leading public cloud platform.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and chaos engineering tools (CloudFormation, ARM Templates, Terraform, Helm; Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Juju; etc.).
  • Experience managing medium/large scale environments (routing, scaling, logging, security, monitoring).
  • Understanding of modern application architectures, APIs, app lifecycle management, release strategies, and 12-factor apps.
  • Agile development methods, DevOps principles, design for failure, chaos engineering, & IaC.
  • Strong scripting skills for automation and Infrastructure as Code experience.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent collaboration skills with developers, infrastructure teams, architects, and business owners.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) of complex technical concepts.
  • Continuous learning mindset and enthusiasm for automation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a leading institute.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology consulting delivery.
  • 5+ yrs of experience on public cloud platforms and related infrastructure technologies.
  • 10+ yrs of experience in Data Center transformation/operations.
  • Experience with IT service providers supporting external clients.
