Manager's Job Description: $20/hr Temp to engage. No covid requirements or restrictions. Looking for someone who is:

• Mechanically inclined

• Previously operated large industrial equipment

• Willing to learn and grow

• Self-driven

• Detail oriented

On a daily basis the candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Perform daily and weekly maintenance activities on large commercial printing equipment and record corresponding activities and issues

• Handle large paper rolls, including moving with pallet jacks and loading and unloading from printing equipment.

• Load and unload ink cartridges in printing equipment

• Handle waste ink collection and dumping. Manage organization of waste ink collection bins and drums. Periodically move waste ink container bins and drums to shipping docks for waste vendor to pick up.

• Receive ink, paper, part and other supply deliveries, record transactions, and stage for warehouse or lab storage. Possible involvement with managing inventories of supplies.

• Set up and run printer jobs for Engineers and Technicians.

• Operate end-processing equipment on printed rolls.

• Simple printer repairs

• General lab cleaning and upkeep

There is no extensive standing, lifting or walking involved. 40-50 lbs is max. Anything heavier requires 2nd lifter or mechanical assistance. No driving is required. The dress code is Protective footwear (steel toed). – company provided. No shorts, shirts require sleeves with no midriff visible and no offensive graphics. No torn clothing.

Worksite address is 6300 Diagonal Highway Bldg. 4, Boulder, CO 80301 mostly working in Bldg 5. Free parking is available.

Has knowledge of Printing Systems technology and is able to learn and operate digital production printer hardware and control units using established procedures and instructions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Able to follow and complete test plans provided by engineering staff, collect and measure data, perform defined operator maintenance and contribute to a clean and safe working environment.
Understands and follows defined processes within the department.
Follows standard practices.
Interaction / collaboration on technical issues with both department and functional peers.
Able to build stable internal working relationships.
Negotiation may be required to resolve basic technical issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

POSITION PROFILE:

The Printer Lab Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of digital printers in a development and test lab environment.

Works under the general guidance of more senior professionals, and decisions are aided by tools and processes.

Receives detailed instructions and work is closely managed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate high-speed, digital printers using ink-jet and electro-photographic technology and associated pre and post processing equipment.

Operate equipment to produce output for engineers. Produce print samples and collect data at various operating points as directed.

Perform routine operator tasks such as paper loading and unloading, replenishing supplies, and preventive maintenance and cleaning.

Plan work with input from engineers, assign operators and schedule overtime to meet business needs.

Assist lab technicians and engineers with lab configurations, equipment moves, and other work as needed.

Assist lab technicians in performing complex setup and maintenance of equipment.

Interface with Ricoh management to provide coverage, improve processes and address operational problems.

Train other operators in equipment and lab operations and procedures as needed.

Assist Development and QA Engineers in test environment setup and execution.

Exhibit high quality standards by producing repeatable and reliable results.

Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by collecting and recycling used supplies, and maintaining lab cleanliness.
