Job Description:
Responsible for determining information requirements for software development projects. Defines, translates, and documents user requirements for development and client implementation projects according to established standards and best practices. The Product Manager will manage development projects with rapid timelines and evolving requirements. This includes participating in all phases of the application development life cycle with emphasis on project planning, requirements gathering and definition, driving resolution of requirements, design, testing and coordinating tasks involving dependencies on cross-functional teams.
Primary Tasks/Activities:
Web-Based Product Development Expertise: Leverage data-driven insights to improve project management, communication, process optimization, resource allocation, and overall project success in the context of web-based product development.
Ownership: Independently drive intent and own the end-to-end process from creation to delivery.
Requirements Management: Define and validate requirements, ensuring clear scope definition and stakeholder sign-off. Document all requirements in Azure DevOps.
Systems Development: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, conduct gap analysis, and estimate resources for system configurations.
Project Support: Serve as the primary contact for assigned R&D projects, coordinating user reviews and approvals.
Task Oversight: Identify and manage critical activities, coordinate resources, and provide technical responses to client change orders or defects.
System Implementation: Manage system implementation, track deliverables, and develop conversion plans for enhanced systems.
Technology Utilization: Identify opportunities to streamline work processes using existing or new technologies.
Testing Coordination: Monitor testing statistics and issues throughout all phases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of use cases and impact areas in testing.
Test Plan Execution: Execute test plans as needed to meet project timelines.
Risk Analysis: Collaborate with the project team to perform a data-driven risk analysis, identify success factors, and plan contingency steps for client projects.
Awareness & Expertise: Maintain awareness of available systems, products, and expertise, both internally and externally.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate implementation projects throughout their lifecycle, managing dependencies and reporting on issues and milestones.
Scope Management: Adapt project plans and communication to address scope changes, report issues and risks, and maintain project scope.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, managers, and executives to ensure high-quality product releases.
Data Requirements: Work with users and development staff to define data storage and access requirements.
Security Responsibility: Ensure overall system security, protect client data, and report potential security risks.
Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize data product requirements, creating and maintaining a product roadmap for R&D projects.
Cross-Product Opportunities: Identify opportunities for cross-product collaboration and integration into new business cases.
Visibility & Influence: Have visibility into the goals and roadmaps of relevant teams, influencing insight development and KPIs.
Innovation: Stay updated on the latest innovations and develop new tests for products.
