Program Management & Oversight:
Lead the end-to-end management of the GCP discovery engagement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cloud strategy.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for the discovery phase, ensuring milestones are met.
Coordinate multiple cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, engineers, security experts, and business stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Act as the primary liaison between business leaders, technical teams, and external partners during the GCP discovery phase.
Ensure clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular status updates on project progress, risks, and challenges.
Manage expectations and serve as the point of escalation for any issues or roadblocks.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
Identify risks and potential obstacles early in the discovery phase and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure that any technical or operational challenges are addressed quickly and effectively by collaborating with the relevant teams.
Proactively manage issues, ensuring that they are resolved without impacting overall program timelines.
Budget & Resource Management:
Manage the budget for the GCP discovery engagement, ensuring that costs are tracked and stay within the approved financial plan.
Optimize resource utilization across different workstreams, ensuring that teams are working efficiently and effectively.
Make recommendations for additional resource needs if necessary and manage vendor relationships where applicable.
Alignment with Business Strategy:
Ensure that the GCP discovery engagement aligns with the organization’s cloud strategy and long-term digital transformation goals.
Collaborate with business leaders to understand their requirements, aligning GCP solutions with their objectives.
Work with technical teams to ensure the solutions proposed during the discovery phase are feasible, scalable, and cost-effective.
Documentation & Reporting:
Oversee the creation of documentation for the GCP discovery process, including assessments, architecture diagrams, cost estimates, and migration strategies.
Provide executive-level reporting on program status, including progress against milestones, financials, and risks.
Maintain thorough records of all decisions made during the discovery process for future reference and audit purposes.
Compliance & Security:
Ensure that all cloud solutions proposed during the discovery phase comply with industry regulations and internal security policies.
Work with cloud security experts to identify and address any compliance or data protection risks in the proposed GCP architecture.
Agile Program Management:
Ensure the adoption of Agile principles for project delivery, facilitating Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives where needed.
Continuously improve processes to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and outcomes for all teams involved.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
8+ years of experience in program management, with at least 3+ years of experience in managing cloud-related projects or programs.
Demonstrated experience in leading discovery or cloud migration engagements, preferably with GCP or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Experience in managing large, complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and distributed teams.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, data migration strategies, and cloud security best practices.
Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies is a plus.
Program Management Skills:
Expertise in program management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
Proficiency with project management tools, preferably Jira.
Strong ability to track progress, manage timelines, and handle budgets in complex, large-scale programs.
Leadership & Communication:
Proven ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex cloud solutions to business leaders and executives.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to act quickly and resolve issues as they arise.
Certifications (Preferred):
Google Cloud Professional certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Professional Cloud Developer).
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in cloud program management.
Additional Considerations:
Experience working with enterprise-level applications and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong familiarity with cloud cost management, cloud operations, and DevOps practices.
Prior experience managing vendors or third-party providers in cloud-related engagements.
Familiarity with industry regulations, such as PCI/DSS, PII, GDPR/CCPA, HIPAA, or other compliance standards, is a plus.
Any Graduate
