Austin, Texas 78701 (Hybrid, onsite 2 days per week)

6 months Contract with possibility to extension

Performs advanced strategic and project management work for Clients’ Retirement Insurance System Enhancement (RISE) program. This position will work with the Clients’ RISE Program Director and the Worker will lead, as the Project Manager, the Benefits Administration project within the RISE program.

The Worker will have extensive knowledge of state agency pension and benefits administration for retirement systems. The Benefits Administration project will be an Agile project and the Worker will maintain the project artifacts in accordance to Client practices and methods. The Worker will provide regularly scheduled progress reports and may provide presentations on the progress of the Benefits Administration project to sponsors, steering committees or Clients’ Board of Trustees. Additionally, the Worker will ensure the completeness all Clients’ deliverables and ensure their timely delivery to the Clients’ selected vendor. The Worker will provide feedback on any project issues and assist the Clients’ Program Director during these activities.

10Experience defining and solving problems, estimating and scheduling project deliverables, and producing project documentation.
10Experience reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating data related project deliverables and quality; ability to communicate project status and explain project methodology and processes to project stakeholders; ability to identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
10Extensive verbal and written communication skills
10Skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy.
5Experience in project management delivery.
1Experience leading Agile projects
0PMP certification is preferred
