The MDE requires professional project management services from a highly skilled individual(s) to provide operational and administrative support in the following tasks:
Responsible for project tracking and reporting services to keep the system implementation process of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) on task and on budget.
Ensure comprehensive management of defined initiatives that include monitoring of budget, resource availability, and organizational alignment; facilitate advancing of projects and effectively managing issues.
The professional activities required for this position includes but not limited to the following:
Project/Task Management:
Continuously monitor project and document progress of project teams and contractors related to all timelines, roles/responsibilities, expenditures/costs, and deadlines.
Monitor and communicate with all internal and external stakeholders recording any identified project risks.
Financial Management:
Monitor expenditures and provide Director of Business Operations with expenditure and budget projections.
Consolidate and manage financial reports, and provide regular reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Leverage technology, continuous improvement and transformational change initiatives to optimize business processes.
Project Documentation:
Collect, review and/or develop, and archive the following project documentation components to include the following:
Resource and Staffing Plan to document what resources (people, equipment, materials) and what quantities of each are being used to perform project activities, to include a complete account of key or required staff.
Develop and implement plan to improve documentation processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information to internal and external stakeholders.
Budget Plan and documents to track and provide a complete accounting of costs for staffing, equipment, software, supplies, consulting, and other costs. A life cycle cost or total cost of ownership, projected out at least 5 years, should be included
