Job description:
The DCF Technical Services Section is looking for a result oriented and adaptable individual to lead a large agency technical project. This project manager will lead the agency efforts for planning the build and the implementation of the modernization efforts of a critical program’s technical infrastructure components.
Responsibilites:
- This individual will work closely with the development teams, technical engineers, system administrators and the leadership team to initiate, build, test, and implement new technologies.
- The project manager will be responsible for creating project workplans, deliverables, and other project artifacts to keep the timeline on track and to meet the requirements of the program and vendor.
- They will also work closely with the project sponsors and IT senior management to understand and prioritize project tasks, solve complex technical problems, and understand business objectives.
- They will work with the vendor and technical teams to identify alternative solutions and perform feasibility studies where needed.
- The candidate should have experience working with an organizational governance body.
- They will regularly report status and partner with them to set project deliverables, implementation timelines, and to communicate any challenges or opportunities that will impact the overall project objectives.
- A strong candidate will meet the requirements listed; an exceptional candidate will have proven competencies in the use of Agile methodologies for a modernization effort that includes development and infrastructure components.

- Experience leading a large multi-million-dollar project with a variety of new technical components.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing successful technical projects utilizing Agile framework and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of industry standard project management methodologies and reporting.
- A strong ability to perform stakeholder analysis and to build strong relationships across versatile knowledge of users and technical staff.
