We are in search of an experienced Project Manager with strong business analysis capabilities to lead our Knowledge Management System (KMS) project for a prestigious public sector client. This critical role centers around driving the project to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and project scope, while also engaging in hands-on business analysis tasks such as interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Business Analysts from over 20+ existing client systems. The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and interpersonal skills, along with a deep commitment to knowledge sharing and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership and Execution: Spearhead the KMS project, focusing on strategic planning, execution, and delivery within agreed timelines, budget, and scope. Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, effectively managing expectations and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.
- Business Analysis and Knowledge Integration: Conduct thorough interviews and discussions with SMEs and Business Analysts to extract vital information and insights. Utilize this information to enhance the KMS project’s effectiveness and relevance.
- Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with client expectations.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently, ensuring the optimal mix of skills and expertise to achieve project objectives. Mentor and guide project team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Management, or related fields.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects, ideally within the public sector or focusing on knowledge management initiatives.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience in conducting business analysis, particularly in gathering and synthesizing information from diverse sources.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with knowledge management systems and practices.
- Background in the public sector or consulting, with an understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities in these environments.
- Additional certifications or training in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP)
