Project/Program Manager

Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, replacing our current legacy system. This individual will play a crucial role in managing this complex and high-priority project for our agency, requiring a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week (extendable up to 40 hours). The estimated duration for this project is up to 24 months.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience planning and managing agency-wide core business system replacement projects.
• PMI or PMP Project Management Certification.
• Proficiency in creating project management documents following PMI PMBOK Standards and the EIS Stage Gate process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans and artifacts required for EIS Stage Gate endorsements.
• Prepare and manage project implementation plans, including weekly status reports for stakeholders and vendors.
• Work closely with vendors to coordinate implementation activities.
• Conduct requirements discovery and documentation.
• Plan and execute prototype testing, development, configuration, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop data migration, knowledge transfer, training, implementation, and go-live plans.
• Maintain project documents throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate communication between employees, stakeholders, and contractors to resolve issues and relay progress.
• Provide purpose, direction, and motivation to the project team to ensure maximum performance.
• Lead the project from requirements through deployment, including identifying schedules, scope, budget estimation, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Analyze project status and revise plans as needed according to change control processes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and ensure best practices in Change Management, Vendor Management, and Risk Management are followed
