Job Description
Fannie Mae's Production Support Automation team is seeking an AWS Python Engineer with roughly 3 years of experience to help automate different operational tasks (L2, Testing, etc.) so Developers can support and make changes to their own Applications wide. This team also works with RPA Blue Prism, logging and monitoring within apps, utilizing bots to set processes and assign certain tasks. Individuals currently in this role have a mix of Python, Java, Unix, and AWS. At this time, this is your standard 9:00am to 5:00pm role, but because it’s within the Production Support vein, there may be occasions where it becomes necessary to work on production issues outside of those hours (though not often.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications
· Candidates must be coachable and willing to learn – looking for developers that are not stuck in their ways
· Experienced with Python and AWS native services – THIS IS A MUST HAVE. Well rounded skills interacting with AWS as an Automation Engineer.
· Building automation frameworks from scratch – this group is facilitating You Build You Own activities across the Enterprise. They are using CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, UCD, Python and Bots in AWS that allow Developers to facilitate and manage changes, upgrades or fixed to their own Applications. In the past, Developers had to rely on the L2 App/Prod Support teams for this.
· Software development - Experience developing and testing applications using Python and Object-Oriented design principles. Someone with good basic implementation skills and has worked with basic libraries and python – boto3 preferably
· Cloud native architecture, development & deployment within AWS
· Problem-solving skills - Experience in problem-solving by analyzing, debugging, and troubleshooting applications and integration components. Familiar with using software debuggers for Python
· Ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders across multiple groups
· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other engineering teams and key business stakeholders

Nice to Haves
· Any experience with Automation Testing using Selenium/Cucumber/Karate in AWS environment. Build automated testing frameworks from scratch and support existing frameworks.
