Python developer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a large financial regulator supporting the data validation and corrections of an electronic audit trail. Our client is looking for a senior resource, with at least 6-7 years of system and application engineering using Python. The ideal candidate will have very strong Python and AWS experience ( S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EMR). Big data experience will be with PySpark and EMR is a plus. Ideally some java knowledge as well, or at the least an appetite to learn more as well.

Requirements:

•             6+ years of experience

•             Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field such as computer science, computer/software engineering, or information systems, is required.

•             Very strong coding/programming skills with Python

•             Strong experience in algorithm development

•             Hands on AWS experience is required S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS and EMR

•             PySpark experience is a plus

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills
