Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring the highest quality standards in software development.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years in software testing (Manual)
- 1+ Years of experience in API Testing
Roles and responsibilities:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
- Perform manual testing to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software products.
- Test current products and identify deficiencies
- Identify, document, and track defects, providing clear and detailed descriptions to facilitate resolution by the development team.
- Suggest solutions to identified product problems
- Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and ensure effective communication throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify key KPIs for product quality
- Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
- Collect quality data & perform regression testing
- Oversee continuous improvement projects
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestLink, TestRail, Trello).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing of REST APIs using tools such as Postman and JMeter.
- Proficiency in test scoping, planning, and execution.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Process-oriented with the ability to think strategically.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Must-Have Skills:
- Deep understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
- Sharp customer focus and passion for improving customer experience.
- Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP and Azure preferred).
- Knowledge of modern technologies stacks like AI/ML, IOT etc
- Experience in working with agile/Scrum testing teams.
Good-to-Have:
- Automation testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, BDD).
- Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
