Your role
The Real Estate Development Finance Analyst is an Excel modeling expert, who is highly organized, highly detail-oriented, and can manage multiple projects while always meeting deadlines. You have the ability to work in multiple systems to maintain the operation and management of Development and Construction activities. You perform a vital role in keeping the projects moving forward, by working closely with the Development & Finance team to increase the company's productivity and community impact.
This role also involves close communication with the Real Estate Development Team, the development managers, and the finance team to achieve the goals of our development projects, under the direction and supervision of the CFO. In your role, you will be responsible for substantial forecasting, determining preliminary income and expense projections, assessing economic, demographic and real estate market data, and maintaining and regularly updating proformas during the lifecycle of investments through the project lifecycle.

What you’ll do
Assist the Development Finance Team in the analysis of potential acquisition and development opportunities including:
Determining preliminary income and expense projections
Evaluating in-place and market rents
Assessing economic, demographic, and real estate market data
Analyzing and tracking sales comp data
Preparing, and ensuring the accuracy of, the valuation models/proformas
Actively participate with the Development Finance Teams in evaluating and closing real estate transactions (both acquisitions and dispositions)
Prepare preliminary financial packages for Investment decisions by senior leadership
Maintain and regularly update proformas during the lifecycle of investments, from the initial valuation and due diligence process through business plan execution and disposition
Prepare cash flow projections and business plans to evaluate investment alternatives and exit strategies
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement
2+ years of professional experience, ideally with a portion of that time in the real estate investment business
High proficiency in Excel modeling
Experience with cash flow modeling
Basic finance/real estate conceptual knowledge
Experience in investment and asset management a plus
Advanced knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign
Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement
