The Recall Service Specialist is responsible for supporting the research, coordination and execution of all information necessary to support safety recall dealer/service remedy development.

The Recall Service Remedy Specialist will work with the Advanced Service Methods Manager to:
Review engineering remedies and assess the potential service impact.
Conduct Recall Service analysis, which includes reviewing repair procedures, repair concerns, time studies, parts catalog, ordering parts, inspecting parts, inspecting vehicles, etc. 
Coordinate labs, tools, vehicles, and parts in order to support remedy trial remove and install events, for lab activities or vehicle inspections. 
Participation in lab events, whether as lead or support, and follow up on next steps and documentation of the activity is required.
They will be a back-up to the Advanced Service Methods Manager, as needed, performing tasks such as chairing the Remedy Steering Committee meetings, process development, and monitoring active investigations for movement through the process.

Requirements: 
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Automotive Technology or other Technical degree from an accredited university.
3-5 years of service or engineering experience, specific experience relating to Companys processes preferred. 
Thorough understanding of automotive systems (suspension, brakes, electrical, powertrain, etc.) and general service repair procedures.
Understanding of automotive dealership service operations.
Strong demonstration of oral and listening communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
Experience working in a team environment, collaborating across organizations and levels.
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
Be a self-starter, require little management direction and have the commitment to meet imposed deadlines.

Preferred Requirements: 
Certification by State and/or National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in any or all eight areas of automotive repair.
Understanding of manufacturing operations.
Ability to analyze and understand root cause, scope and consequence of vehicle issues.
Diagnostic skills in technical subjects required for field support.
Understanding of EBOM; SBOM; AMPS; Change Notices, CAD.
Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.
