Report Developer
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and objectives.
- Acquire data from various sources, perform data manipulation and cleansing as required.
- Design and build visually appealing, intuitive reports and dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Incorporate advanced charting techniques, calculations, and data models to effectively communicate complex data insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reports meet business requirements and address key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain report documentation, including data sources, calculations, and report interpretation guides.
- Stay up-to-date with new features and best practices in data visualization tools and techniques.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively utilize and interpret reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data visualization and report development using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, visualization principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL or other querying languages for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience working with relational databases and understanding data modeling concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate reports.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other data visualization tools such as QlikView, Looker, or D3.js.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management practices.
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing role, working with cross-functional teams.
