Job Description:

 

  • Senior Project Risk Manager shall provide Information Technology Project Risk Management consultant services to NYCERS for the completion of the Legacy Replacement Project (LRP).
  • Work within the Enterprise Project Management Office division, understanding the NYCERS organizational and the EPMO Project Portfolio Management goals and objectives.
  • Report into EPMO Deputy Directors and manage the Risk, Issue, Change Requests, and Decisions Register.
  • Conduct Risk and Issue meetings and drive through resolution.
  • Follow the PMI PMBOK Project Management guidelines, concepts and the project management life cycle in all project initiatives.

 

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience managing project related Issues and Risks that include Identification, Verification, Owner Assignment and Follow Through, Mitigation, and Closure.
  • Experienced in generating weekly Risk, Issue, and Owner reports with follow up.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in Project Risk Management.
  • Experience presenting project Risk and Issues to upper management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including team leadership and management. negotiation, collaboration, problem resolution and customer service.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 software toolset, specifically Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Project Oversight on Deliverables / Tasks / Process Enforcement

 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Risk Management Certifications.
  • Planview Project Portfolio Management software experience.
  • Pension Administration systems experience.
  • Experience with a variety of project delivery methodologies (Agile, COTS, Iterative, and Waterfall).
