Job Description:
- Senior Project Risk Manager shall provide Information Technology Project Risk Management consultant services to NYCERS for the completion of the Legacy Replacement Project (LRP).
- Work within the Enterprise Project Management Office division, understanding the NYCERS organizational and the EPMO Project Portfolio Management goals and objectives.
- Report into EPMO Deputy Directors and manage the Risk, Issue, Change Requests, and Decisions Register.
- Conduct Risk and Issue meetings and drive through resolution.
- Follow the PMI PMBOK Project Management guidelines, concepts and the project management life cycle in all project initiatives.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing project related Issues and Risks that include Identification, Verification, Owner Assignment and Follow Through, Mitigation, and Closure.
- Experienced in generating weekly Risk, Issue, and Owner reports with follow up.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in Project Risk Management.
- Experience presenting project Risk and Issues to upper management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including team leadership and management. negotiation, collaboration, problem resolution and customer service.
- Strong skills in Microsoft 365 software toolset, specifically Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint.
- Project Oversight on Deliverables / Tasks / Process Enforcement
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Risk Management Certifications.
- Planview Project Portfolio Management software experience.
- Pension Administration systems experience.
- Experience with a variety of project delivery methodologies (Agile, COTS, Iterative, and Waterfall).
